Attachment theory is the western psychological concept of a very basic premise in nature; that love, safety and care for our young is essential to their survival.
While much has been written and discussed on attachment theory in the west, attachment takes place primarily on physical and embodied levels. For this reason, cinema antiplastique presents our Attachment Parenting Series, designed to connect and reconnect parents and children with the embodied joys of the child parent connection.

Motherhood holds the possibility of wonderful and astonishing experiences of the expanses within our physical bodies. Birthing is an ancient portal into both the unknown cosmos and our earth itself: manifested within our bodies and those of our babies. In this workshop for women 7 to 9 months pregnant, we explore natural techniques for child birthing from home to the hospital, not found in most books.
Preparing for birthing through creative exercises, breathing and physical movement, we make space within ourselves to expand into the transcendent experience of bringing a child into the world through our bodies.

Have you ever tried to quietly do yoga or stretch in your home only to have your kid(s) come running in and jumping all over you?
This workshop combines these two basic impulses with an eye physical attunement and connection with our children.
In this workshop for children ages 4 to 11 years old, we learn techniques from contact improvisation and simple, child friendly yoga, exploring weight sharing, counterbalance and delightful stretches which you can bring into your home and everyday routines.
One child per parent please.
