for people of a certain age, the compulsion to look at one’s phone can have deeply embedded neural pathways. in this workshop for people ages 16 + , we explore embodied strategies to “re-wire” ourselves deeper into the present, living moment.
even for those of us who lived through a time when the only phones were attached to walls or phone booths, the compelling distraction and addiction of cell phones can be difficult to navigate. in this workshop we examine the effects of texting on one’s posture for example, and why moving away from our phones is essential for creating the new world so many of us wish to experience.
