in the present moment, many people have come to experience mobile phones an extension of their thoughts and bodies. depending on one’s age, access and exposure to social media, etc, the compulsion to be connected with one’s phone can have deeply embedded neural pathways.
the long term collective and creative ramifications of these addictions are to date uncalculated. in this workshop for humans ages 14 and over , we explore embodied strategies to “re-wire” ourselves into the present moment and embodied experiences of being alive. Proceeding from a kinesthetic perspective, we examine the effects of screen time and texting on one’s posture and anatomy and reflect on what our lives might entail were we to shift our relationship with phones, social media ect.
we explore, from the subtlety of our unique inner systems, what we wish to move towards.
